Giving Mount Everest a tad bit competition in terms of height from the base, the Alaskan pride, Mt McKinley renamed Denali now, stands 20,310 feet above sea level and 17,000 feet from its base! That’s taller than Mt. Everest!
The 3rd most prominent and isolated peak on Earth sits hidden in the Denali National Park, Alaska, USA!
What’s With the Name?
Named in commemoration of the former US president, William McKinley, the peak had its name changed to Denali by the Alaska Legislature.
